A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

With a BSc in zoology, an MRes in marine biology and an interdisciplinary PhD combining environmental sciences and metabolic biology, I have diverse research experience. Over the years I have worked on marine algae, bacteria and cereal crops, and used approaches from genomics to analytical chemistry.

(My publications are listed below)

I have six years of postdoctoral experience, five of which were spent running a cell biology and genomics project at a global plant breeding company. Alongside my research, I also co-supervised PhD students and worked with academic collaborators, which I found very rewarding.

I’ve now taken that enthusiasm for supporting students and researchers forward to build my own academic editing business.

I am committed to offering my clients the best possible service, so I have taken professional training through the Publishing Training Centre; I passed their Essential Proofreading course with merit. I am also a professional-level member of the Chartered Institute of Editors and Proofreaders and I follow their code of practice.
